BIG NEWS is Coming on Wednesday!

So tonight at 9:30pm, GSUSA announced on Facebook that BIG NEWS is coming tomorrow (Wednesday)!  This set the GS Facebook world abuzz with everyone wondering what it could be?  My cynical side says it’ll probably be some commercial partnership, but then my crazy side gets all excited like it’s Christmas Eve thinking of all of the possibilities!  Oh GSUSA, you big tease! 

By the time all 30 of you who visit my blog read this post, the BIG NEWS will probably already be announced.  But here are my guesses!

• A New National CEO – and it’s me!  Thank you, thank you.  I’ll remember the little people.  The first order of business will be to change my title to GSUSA Overlord.  And free official scarves for everyone using the additional $10 from the membership fee increase in 2017!
• The new Journey modularization (is this even a word?) where Journeys are shortened from 8 to 10 boring meetings to only 4 or 5 boring meetings.
• Some kind of partnership that doesn’t really affect me as a volunteer but is awesome for the PR department.
• Wait for it…

A NEW OFFICIAL SCARF DESIGN!!!!!

And now I’ll be heading to bed with visions of trefoils dancing in my head.

P.S.  If this is a disappointment, I shall have no choice but to write a strongly worded letter.

Addendum 7/6/16:  We’re going to have a float in the Macy’s Day Parade.  Some people are criticizing the cost of the float, but I actually don’t have a problem with it.  I’m biased because I’m a previous advertising media planner/buyer, but you can’t underestimate the power of getting your name out there. I’m guessing it will coincide with some kind of ad or PR campaign to promote the GS name as a part of their branding strategy.  Or not.
