Survey #2: Types of Troops/IGP

Experiences as a Leader, National Operations    3 Comments    , , , , ,

Here’s the second installment of the newest category on the GSWAC (not a council) blog called Surveys!  These series of polls are designed to be very short and easy in order to get a quick snapshot of whatever the topic is at hand.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well the first one about the number one cause of stress for volunteers went, and I hope this one is a success too.

When it’s come to things like the Volunteer Toolkit not supporting multi-level troops (uploading a guide/script for multi-level troops doesn’t count), I’ve always wondered if GSUSA has really done their homework.  I’m sure they have.  Right?  Everybody just smile and nod their head up and down slowly in agreement.  What percentage of troops out there are multi-level?  Single level?  How are Individual Girl Program (IGP)/Juliettes a part of the equation?  Inquiring minds want to know!  Like the last one, I’ll be posting the results after about a week or so.  Here’s a direct link to the survey if you’d like to pass it on:  https://goo.gl/forms/T5xfOUng2CLS2NyY2

Thanks for doing these surveys!! It’s great to share info! I so wish GS would focus on older girls too (they have clearly said their focus is K-5, which is evident in how the new badges/programs are rolling out). At least help do a marketing campaign for the public to see how older girls/silver/gold awards are great like boy scouts/eagle scouts.

I lead a brownie troop AND have two IRGs. I wish your survey included options for those leading more than one troop. Thanks for doing this!
