An OFFICIAL SCARF SHOWCASE! For Real!
Last week, our council had a Meet the CEO event so that we could (I bet you can guess!) meet our new CEO. The notice said we should bring our ideas! So I thought at first I would be funny and suggest that we dedicate a wall at our new Leadership Center to an OFFICIAL SCARF SHOWCASE! and charge admission. People from ALL around the country would FLOCK to this SHOWCASE!, and we’d make so much money that we’d pay off all of our obligations, renovate all of our camps, and have some left over! But when I was at the meeting, I realized that I didn’t want our new CEO to think I was insane, so I just suggested we incorporate STEM into our Leadership Center for more fund development opportunities. How boring.
If you’re wondering what I’m talking about when I’m referring to an OFFICIAL SCARF SHOWCASE!, make your way to this blog post first. It’s fabulous!
Recently, Karen R. shared a picture with me from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri council, which features a rotating historical display of GS items. Feast your eyes upon this one!
It’s an actual OFFICIAL SCARF SHOWCASE! In REAL LIFE! And look – it has identifying tags for each one! And the OFFICIAL bandana isn’t mistaken for an OFFICIAL scarf! And there’s even the nemesis of the OFFICIAL scarf – the OFFICIAL cravat! 😮
Maybe I really should have suggested this at the meeting. Road trip!
That is beautiful. I just got the orange and green one on ebay. This may give me an excuse to start collecting Girl Scouts scarves.
Is the men’s tie there? I’ve seen females wearing it.
As I was researching the SHOWCASE!, I noticed there were many different OFFICIAL ties through the years, so I believe it would have to be its own SHOWCASE!
You could use the necktie as a headband — most guys hate ties and would egg you on!
