So in all of the excitement and stress of the recent National Council Session and Phenom, I completely forgot to include the BIGGEST news of all. Even bigger than Janet Garretson’s retirement.
And that is… an OFFICIAL scarf designed just for the Convention was released and available for purchase down in Orlando!!
I should have included this update in my report about the NCS and Phenom, but it got lost in the shuffle. I hang my head in shame and promise it will not happen again.
And so, without further ado, I present to you:
THE 2023 CONVENTION OFFICIAL SCARF!
GSUSA doesn’t list this 36″ x 36″ scarf as OFFICIAL in the online shop, but I’m making an executive decision and calling it as such due to the premium placed on it. It’s out of stock online at the moment, but maybe they’ll carry it again someday.
The 2023 Convention OFFICIAL scarf features the futuristic artwork of Phenom (that I never really understood, but I digress) in the background along with what looks like a pattern inspired by the flooring at the Coronado Springs Convention Center. You can wear this OFFICIAL scarf to your next council’s annual meeting and be emboldened to make an amendment to an amendment on whatever proposals are presented, or you could make up a dance when your chair presents the credentials report.
