Girl Scout National Center West was a 15,400 acre campground in Tensleep, WY owned and operated by GSUSA from 1968 to 1989. Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from all over the world engaged in outdoor activities including horseback riding, backpacking, fishing, orienteering, exploring Native American pictographs and study of geology (per Wikipedia). My GS Troop visited NCW in 1987 as a part of a three week cross-country trek from Athens, GA to Wyoming and back.
