Happy Leader’s Day!

Random Things That Don't Fit Anywhere Else Kinda Like Me    2 Comments    , , ,

It’s April 22nd and you know what that means!  HAPPY LEADER’S DAY!  Party!  And then get back to planning your next meeting and working on paperwork, pronto!

To celebrate Leader’s Day, I present to you the famous Bill Blass designs from the 80s (courtesy of gscatalogs.com):

work it leader outfit
Work it girlfriend!

Here it is in full technicolor:

Go girl!
Go girl!

The blue beret completes the ensemble.  I would love to get ahold of one of those and wear it to delegate meetings.  I’d be the most fabulous one there!

And don’t forget about the official scarf!  You’re not officially official without one!

No one is going to take the woman on the left seriously because she is not wearing an official scarf.
No one is going to take the woman on the left seriously because she is not wearing an official scarf. She might as well not even be there. I mean really.

On another note – GSUSA, that’s nice and all that you offered free shipping on Leader’s Day, but does there really have to be a $75 minimum?  How about opening up just ONE day with no minimum?  Or knock it down to $20?  Because I don’t think I’m EVER going to buy $75 worth from the online store, especially when I can’t try it on.  The adult sizes are crazy different.  Offering 22% off would be kind of neat too.

Leaders, I hope you have a FABULOUS day!

I have the dress with the blue and green striped mini-scarf. BUT it has a blue Girl Scout belt with it. I wore my blue suit last time…. but I’m tempted to wear it next year — maybe Friday night! It still looks just like new. FABULOUS posting. 😉

I love the old uniforms. Those were fabulous. I definitely agree with you on the “special” gift of free shipping on Leader’s Day. I can get free shipping from several sites with a $75 minimum or less. And I don’t have to give up hours of free time and sanity to get it!
